The girls have been doing so great! They've transistioned and bonded to us and are just amazing us daily. Some cute things recently:
-Lovie was chasing our puppy around the house, wiggling her fingers and saying "Tickle, tickle, tickle"
-Duffy taught Lovie to bend her knees and bounce when he says, "Get low, get low, get low low low"
-Ju Ju Bean sat up for the first time by herself on April 30th and started holding her own bottle on May 21st. She's gained weight and we're very proud to announce that she finally has her first baby fat roll on her legs! We worked hard to put that on this girl!
-Lovie will have conversations with the dog...even when the dog isn't present. Duffy heard her chattering to herself in the car yesterday saying, "Hi Chloe, good girl. No No No! Sit! Down! Good Girl."
-Lovie sings in French, says "hello - hola" in Spanish, and Duffy's working on teaching her Swahili.
-Ju Ju Bean has gone from being passive and willing to sit by herself all day, to demanding to be held. She's getting quite a reputation in the nursery as a screamer. She is startingly loud for such a small package.
- Lovie thinks bandaids are jewelry and medicine is candy.
- When Lovie goes to the store or a restaurant, she says "HI!!!" and waves to every person she sees.
- Ju Ju Bean laughs if you say "Buh, buh, buh." Not sure why, but it cracks her junk up.
- If you tell Lovie to, "be sweet", she'll wrap her arms around you and press her cheeck to yours. She loves laying on Charis and having her back rubbed.
- If you smile at Ju Ju Bean, she gives you the sweetest smile back. She looks just like a porcelin doll.
- Lovie danced in the aisle at Target for 5 minutes straight. She had a semi-circle of people surrounding her, laughing, and cheering her on as she swirled, stomped, got low, and shouted "Hallelujah". She finished her performance with high-fives for the audience members.
- Ju Ju Bean HATES tummy time. She can scream at an ear piercing level for an exceptionally long amount of time. With a voice like that...she should definitely be a cheerleader.
- Lovie is so smart. She has learned so many new words in the past 8 weeks. When she came to live with us, she could only say Daddy and Doggie. Now, she can articulate all her needs and wants. She is very polite and always says "please" and "thank-you" when making requests.
