We're Buying Our First House!

We're buying our first house! It's a sprawling beauty nestled in a quiet neighborhood in West Plano. We spent 7+ months looking for a great house at a great deal and we finally found it! It's a two-story, 3,000 sq ft house with 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 dining areas, and a pool!

It was a foreclosure - but the bank remodeled and repaired everything for us. The foundation and fences were fixed and it has new carpet, tile, paint, appliances, and landscaping. It has large spaces for entertaining and a great covered patio in the back for pool-parties. 4 or 5 of our best friends live within walking distance, and we're close to George Bush, 75, and the tollway!

We really don't need a house this big - but we got a great deal on it. Duffy and I brilliantly played "good-cop, bad-cop," and negotiated our way into a steal of a deal. You know us - always looking for a great deal.

Beyond the fact that we're getting a great house for a great price, this is such an answer to prayer. We've really been asking the Lord to help guide our ways, lead us to making good decisions, and show us His will for our lives. Our journey to finding a house has been MUCH longer than I would've expected or wanted, but in the end it's such a blessing to see that the house was worth the wait.

It's really cool that everyone in our lives are equally as excited about the house - it's a happy season that we all get to share with each other.
