Little Bunny Foo-Foo

Last week, we were driving around the corner at the CVS pharmacy in Plano, when a huge hawk dove out of the sky, skimmed the hood of our car, and plunged into the bushes next to the building to wrap it’s talons around it’s targeted prey…a defenseless furry little baby bunny rabbit.

Duffy and our friend, Josh Rolf, quickly rolled down the windows and started taking pictures while hooting and hollering at “how awesome” the tragic event was. Meanwhile, Charis was in the backseat watching in absolute horror as little bunny foo-foo had the life squeezed out of it.

The hawk sat on the sidewalk staring at us for quite awhile before flying off with it’s dinner. Duffy tried to convince Charis that the hawk needed the baby bunny to feed all of it’s baby-hawks. Didn’t work…but valiant effort on his part to try to find a silver lining to the brutal homicide.
