I'm a bad blogger..

My name is Charis...and I'm a bad blogger. I don't know why I never think to write about all the neat stuff that's going on with us. It feels like life is moving so fast, I can barely keep up, much less find time to write about it. Maybe its my personality - bullet lists may be more up my ally. Let's try that:

Fun Stuff We've Done Recently:

• Jan 16 - Skied in Durango, Colorado
• Feb - Sat in the second row (on the floor) at the Mavs game behind Ndomukong Suh and Jason Witten.
• Feb 14 - Duffy went to the NBA All-Star game and had great seats!
• Feb 25 - We went to Cirque de Soleil - it was awesome!
• Feb 28 - Skied...snowboarded...fell down the mountain in Tennessee.
• Mar 8 - Signed up to be foster parents - exciting stuff!

Not Fun Stuff We've Gone Through Recently:

• Feb 4 - Charis' friend Jenny admitted to ICU in critical condition. Clinging to life.
• Feb 5 - The Doctor recomended that we quit our cycle of IVF because of a poor response and try again later. Fertility meds did lead to an increased chance in pregnancy this month.
• Feb 12 - Ella was in a car accident - unsure of brain damage.
• Feb 19 - Officially found out that Charis wasn't pregnant & Jenny's legs were amputated.
• Feb 22 - Jenny Bizaillion, a dear friend, passed away.
• Feb 24 - Marked 14 years since Charis' Mom went to heaven (breast cancer).
• Feb 25 - Jenny's funeral - a beautiful ceremony and blessing to attend.
• Mar 4 - Charis had surgery for her endometriosis and discovered she was allergic to Vicadin the hard way. Recovery was/is slower than we hoped for.

Upcoming Fun Stuff:

• There are plans in the works for Charis & Duffy to go to Haiti, Honduras, Michigan, and Georgia before June.
• Potential round of IVF in May/June.
