We arrived in one piece and had a blast. The girls swam, colored, played, and got to know all their North Carolina family.
We took a day trip to Myrtle Beach and the girls got to see the ocean for the very first time. Karlie was thrilled and kept wanting to go closer to the "big pool", until she got closer...and then she didn't want to have anything to do with it.
By the end of the trip she was running in the water, playing in the sand, and trotting along down the beach. Rylie loved sitting in her bumbo chair and holding the beach umbrella.
They weren't too crazy about the lazy river, but loved putting their toes in the hot tub at the end of the day.
Funny thing happened the other day when I went in to get Karlie out of bed. I walked in the room and said, "WHOAA! What happened?!?" and Karlie stood up, surveyed her bed, put her hands on her hips, looked up at me and said, "Whoaaaa. Poo!" It was everywhere!
Today Karlie put on my high heels and started walking around the living room. Then she started running in them. The toddler was doing a better job walking in heels than she does on her own bare feet. I'm so proud!
