Julah - Week 14

Date: June 3-9, 2011
Sleeping: 4-6 hours stretches
Eating: 3-4 oz
New things this week: Loves playing independently with her toys
Diapers: Size 1’s are very tight
Clothing: 3-6 months
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Reddish Brown and getting longer!

Julah fell in love with her play mat this week. She will lay on it and beat those toys with her hands and feet for almost an hour before getting bored and “asking” to be picked up. Her favorite move involves grabbing the ring on the giraffe’s foot and swinging him into the bird that chimes. That cracks her junk up! She’s gets so worked up that her feet starting kicking the other toys – which startles her – and them makes her giggle.

She really is starting to like her Bumbo chair too. She’s able to sit in that for 30 minutes at a time now. She loves sitting propped up on the couch or on our laps. She’s so attentive to everything going on around her that she hates missing anything by laying down.

This weekend we took Julah to the lake for the first time and she loved it! Duffy says that she’s better on boats and airplanes than she is on the ground. She was a dream! She took great naps on the boat, loved the breeze on the front porch, and had fun sharing her toys with Luke (9 months old).

Duffy tried to show her how to hold her bottle by herself. She was able to do it for a few seconds at a time. Not quite there yet.
