Julah’s personality is really starting to shine through. She’s so happy and loves to play with her toys. Sometimes she’ll be playing on her mat and I’ll look over at her and she’s been staring at me. The second we make eye-contact her face light up, she gives me the sweetest little gummy smile, her arms start waving, and her little legs start kicking all over the place. Then I have no choice but to scoop her up, give her tons of kisses, and cuddle for a bit.
She’s also really responding to voices. Before she sees us she can recognize our voices and will start smiling and wiggling. When she hears new voices, a thoughtful look comes across her face as she looks around the room to find out where it’s coming from. Duffy asked me yesterday if I thought she knew her name yet…and I’m not sure. It sure seems like it sometimes.

Despite all her protests, we have really been enforcing some tummy time for Julah and it’s paying off. Her neck is much stronger and she’s able to hold her head up much better. She can scoot 6-12 inches by kicking her little feet and she’s able to almost get on her side. A little more kicking and I think she’ll be rolling over very soon.On the 14th Julah held her head up for an extended amount of time. On the 15th she had a long "chat" with Duffy. She gurgled and cooed back and forth for almost 20 minutes. On the 16th she slept on her tummy for the first time all night.
