Knocked Up!

We're Pregnant!!!!


In the midst of one of the worst months of our lives, God has drenched us in his love and mercy. Charis took the first home pregnancy test on Saturday (5 days before her missed period) and was SHOCKED to see the word "Pregnant" pop up on the digital test. Fearful that the positive result may be because of the pregnancy hormones, she immediately sent Duffy to the store to buy more tests. 4 days and 10 tests later, our doctor confirmed it with a blood test on Tuesday, July 6 - Duffy's Birthday! What a great birthday present!!!

On Tuesday, the nurse said that Charis' numbers were twice what she was hoping they would be on Wednesday. Today, we took another blood test to confirm the numbers and were so happy to hear that the numbers were on target! Our first sonogram is on July 27, to see if this is a singleton, twin, or triplet pregnancy.

Last night we went to dinner and surprised out lifegroup friends by Charis wearing this t-shirt:

We are so excited and couldn't feel more blessed for God to choose this timing!! The morning that Charis found out she was pregnant, the Lord gave her this verse: "Sorrow may last for the night, but joy comes with the morning." Psalm 30:5 - The joy has surely come!

"The Lord gives and takes away, but I will still choose to say, Blessed be the name of the Lord!"
